Summary
Words and sentences given by |a!kunta (Stoffel). Included are copies, translated in January 1871, of some of the material collected in Lloyd's first notebooks. There is a short account of |a!kunta's wife, who waits for him in his house and cannot eat springbok (p.137). There is an incantation or verse about 'Kleine Jackals' (Lloyd says 'The Bushmen do not sing the jackal') and a note on how they are caught in their holes (p.122v).
