Summary
... the account of a visit paid by /kwámmana, with a young Ichneumon and the Mantis, to the abode of the 'Löffelhund' (Proteles); where the Mantis again gets into trouble. (L VIII.1-6939–6944, 11. 6945-6977). |kwammana and the Ichneumon visit the Proteles (|ku) and |kaggen (the Mantis) insists on coming with them. |kwammana begs the mother Proteles for a little Proteles to eat and she gives him a lean one. They return home with meat for the women, but |kaggen turns back and returns to the Proteles's house where he calls for the mother Proteles to give him another of her children. She knocks him into the fire he has built and he returns home, where |kwammana and the Ichneumon scold him for his foolish actions.
