Summary
A Bushman, who becomes faint from the heat of the sun on his way home, throws earth into the air, so that those who are home may see the dust, and come to help him. (L VIII.-22. 7961-7969). There follows an explanation of how the men get into the state at which they need to send dust signals. A person sends dust signals when he feels he is dying and will not reach home ('dying it is').
