Description : Two figures wearing spiked headdresses, one carrying a stick and the other aims a bow and arrow at two antelope (the right hand animal has red dotted markings on its head and neck). There are an additional eight antelope running toward the left hand side of the page. There is a short row of black dots on the right hand side of the animals. "From cave on farm Boomplaats near Kornet[?] Spruit O.F.S." [Two joined halves.]

Description in published source : "PLATE 56 LOCALITY.– Cave on a farm Boomplaats, near Kornet Spruit. Owner, Mr. W. Higgs. SITE.– Boomplaats lies on the right bank of the Kornet Spruit. The cave is above fifteen minutes’ walk below the house and overlooks the broad valley through which the river flows at some distance. DESCRIPTION.– There are numbers of paintings in this cave and many superpositions. In one part there is a saucer-like hollow, in which all these bucks save the two top left ones are to be found. The red men and dots are on the edge of the basin, the two other elands are to the left of it, part of a large panel of bucks. The elands in the hollow are clearly one group with intentional superpositions. Dimensions: 22 1/2 x 33 3/4 inches." (Bleek)
