Description : Nine figures (eight with markings - two of which are spots), one lying down on its front, one doing a handstand [?], five seated, two with both arms raised, one with stick raised (round shape on end). "From Cave near Waterfall in Knoffel Spruit Orange River O.F.S."

Description in published source : “PLATE 29 LOCALITY.– As Plate 28. SITE. – Next to the little rock-shelter is a long shelter with numbers of paintings and numerous superpositions. Water is spoiling one part. DESCRIPTION.– The group copied here and some yellow men and Basuto shields are on a slab of rock superimposed on old black paintings. I think the figures in the upper layer are all of one date. EXPLANATION.– This may be a dance or the doings of medicine men. In another Bushman tribe I have seen dots of white ash similar to those on the two tall men dabbed on by medicine women before uttering incantations. The five yellow men have small karosses. Dimensions: 12 x 18 inches.” (Bleek)
