Description : Six animals of mixed description with markings: two resemble antelope, one has spikes, three have dots and other markings; eight figures: six carrying weaponry (arrows, sticks), one appears to be lying down and clutching its head; markings (dots).

Description in published source : “PLATE 39 LOCALITY.– As Plate 36. SITE.– As Plate 36. DESCRIPTION.– This group is by itself superimposed on red and orange animals, to which the little bucks belong. The animal with spikes is rounder than shown, the two men next [sic] the one horned creature are red. The black men below belong to an older layer. Those in the upper corner have been obliterated by thick smoke. EXPLANATION.– I think the red creatures are mythical animals, and the men next to them medicine men. The spiked beast resembles one at a cave on Hallaton, a farm not far off, of which a copy is in the Bloemfontein Museum. Dimensions: 14 x 25 inches.” (Bleek)
